Grandpa is not pleased. What, are they using card readers for the unsub requests? I tried making a few phone calls to customer (lack of) service, etc. but all everyone had to say was the "10 days for the request to go through."
Spamgourmet.com and mailinator.com are your friends. Spamgourmet.com is free and, after signing up, it allows you to create semi-throwaway addresses _ad hoc_. You set the number of emails you want to receive. There are two modes -- a "no brainer" mode and a "slightly more complicated" mode which allows you to tweak various parameters. Mailinator.com also allows you to create _ad hoc_ addresses -- it's even simpler, you don't even need to sign up, but some sites are hip to it and won't allow you to use it. spl -------------------------------------------
