Subject: [IP] Re: Another example :: Google "disapproves" net neutrality ad
Begin forwarded message: From: Scott Moskowitz <scott@bluespike.com> Date: October 25, 2009 3:20:04 PM EDT To: Dave Farber <dave@farber.net> Subject: Re: [IP] Another example :: Google "disapproves" net neutrality ad Prof. Farber & Prof. Faulhaber: Though the ad had run without issue for a year or more, the reason given originally was that the content was "improper" (I can search for the data if need be). The editorial change coincided with the timing of letters (& on-line posting on Congress.org & their "Soapbox" feature) I had hand-delivered to each member of the US Senate re: my opposition to the Patent Reform Act of 2007. Prof. Farber you posted that letter on IP at that time (if memory serves, October 2007). I cannot say that had anything to do with the issue; but, I am still not clear. Prof. Faulhaber, I sent you a copy of the paper when I saw some of the work you were doing with Prof. Farber at that time. The "reason" then changed to "Inaccurate Display URL" (which is what it is now) though the display URL links to the invited piece I wrote for IEEE in several iterations: 1) IEEE DOI > http://www.computer.org/portal/web/csdl/doi/10.1109/MMUL.2003.1167918 2) ACM Citation http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=642720 3) IEEE Xplore Digital Library http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/freeabs_all.jsp?arnumber=1167918 and even 4) DBLP listing http://www.informatik.uni-trier.de/~ley/db/indices/a-tree/m/Moskowitz:Scott.html |

I went through several rounds with the editors and pointed to their inconsistent position with little success. Hopefully, this mail is easier to digest. Thank you in advance for any feedback. Sincerely, Scott Moskowitz On Oct 25, 2009, at 10:26 AM, Dave Farber wrote:
