Good to hear from you.
The GPS has nothing to do, directly, with call quality.
However, ATT requires GPS confirmation of your MicroCell location for 911 purposes and to make sure you are not using the unit in an unauthorized place, such as out of the USA.
Without an antenna, you have to place the MicroCell in a south facing window with access to the sky. I want to put the unit in a second floor hallway with no sky access. So I need a better antenna -- and may need an extension cord for the antenna as well.
Will keep you posted. If you want to checkout the call quality, call my Google voice number: 802-503-1258. I'll answer with my cell getting signal from the MicroCell.
BTW, I thought TMob had given up on Femto cells. Verizon charges too much and offers no incentives. sprint would not sell me one as I do not live in one of their service areas. ATT was very helpful and has a great plan if you elect to pay $20 per month, but with no contract and you can turn the plan off and on at will.
I hope this helps,
Jock

Does this mean that you were getting low GPS signal (tree cover, or
whatever) and this was resulting in poor time or location data?
